Product Overview

Energy efficient, easy to install and cost- effective, Herrmidicool instantly provides technologically superior atomizing humidification developed specifically for in-duct applications. Our control technique monitors both room humidity and supply duct conditions for accurate modulation for even the most precise environments. Fine misting atomizing head manifolds are the heart of the Herrmidicool system. Several drip-less self-cleaning and sealing heads are mounted horizontally on the manifold to optimize coverage in the duct or air handler. System controls are electronic or pneumatic and can be interfaced with existing systems or as a standalone system.

Only three major components for precision control of humidification and evaporative cooling comprise Herrmidicool:

(1) Water Control and Air Control Section-
This component contains two solenoid valves, a modulating water valve, and a pressure electric switch for full output modulation. It is mounted outside the duct but on the same level as the manifold with the atomizing heads. Each control section regulates a maximum of 500 lb./hr (227 kg/hr) of water. Control options are available.

(2) Herrmidicool Atomizing Heads-
Self-cleaning, self-sealing, dripless and highly efficient, these components are the heart of the system. Several of these heads are mounted on the duct manifold which is installed horizontally inside a duct casing. The heads are oriented for mist output at right angles to the air flow. The result is precise humidification control combined with evaporative cooling to meet exacting environmental requirements.

(3) Humidification Control Center-
Using either electronic or pneumatic controls, the Herrmidicool system senses humidity conditions and transmits appropriate signals to the compact control cabinet. A controller compares each signal to its own set point and then modulates the system automatically. Modulating signals are transmitted either to the Control Section or directly to the atomizing heads. The Control Center also provides an automatic shut-off every 30 minutes for self-cleaning of the atomizing heads. The cabinet, which is pre-wired, calibrated, and factory tested, includes two humidity sensors/ transmitters that mount in the duct or humidified area. These sensors/ transmitters are located within 50 feet, (15 meters) of the control center governing humidification and evaporative cooling.

Features
Herrmidicool incorporates automatic, fully modulating controls which allow the patented fine mist atomizing spray head system to operate with a complete 30:1 turndown ratio to accommodate the requirements in manufacturing, laboratory and commercial building environments.

No additional ducting is required because Herrmidicool is fully adaptable to existing duct systems. In addition, our exclusive External Duct Adapter may be the only solution to installation in smaller duct systems.

System controls prevent the flow of water without proper air pressure and also prevent the heads from dripping and spitting.

Atomizing heads are self-cleaning and self-sealing, making them impervious to mineral content and ambient contaminants.

Internal atomization design requires only 0.12 SCFM compressed air at 30 PSI for every pound (.0075 m3 compressed air at 2.0 bar for every kilo) of water per hour atomized.

The combination of small individual head capacities, variable air/water ratio, high forward discharge velocity, and discharge perpendicular to the air stream allows for rapid absorption, uniform moisture distribution throughout the duct or air handler, and use with variable air volume systems.

All Herrmidicool systems are fully modulating, accomplished by a modulating valve in the Control Section. The resulting water droplet sizes range from 7-10 microns at full output to sub-micron at minimum output.

All Herrmidicool systems feature controls which monitor both supply and return air humidity. Modulation is control led by whichever transmitter is closest to set point. Short cycling of the system and saturation of the supply duct are nonexistent.

Systems are available utilizing stainless steel to allow the use of demineralized water for critical applications.

Only Herrmidifier has mist and mineral eliminator systems available to allow placement in otherwise impossible locations.
